When market analysts across the globe are losing sleep over the possibility of a 'Brexit vote' and its potential impact on stocks, bonds, currencies and other asset classes, Indian astrologers remain firm in their readings that there is nothing to worry about.
After Raghuram Rajan announced his exit from the Reserve Bank of India earlier this week, markets stabilised rather quickly, showing the inherent strength of the domestic market.
But market veterans feel a Brexit vote would shake up that confidence and destabilise the market.
Most astrologers feel otherwise, and say they do not foresee such an event and there is nothing to worry about.
Astrologer Murtaza Ali says Britain will not exit theEuropean Union (EU) and markets will turn more bullish after the vote.
"The Indian market is likely to move in a range. The upper cap or the range for Nifty50 would be around 8,338-8,388 level, whereas the downside will be capped at 8,038-7,988 levels," he said.
Ali said any breach of 30-50 points above or below this cap will lead to initiation of fresh short or long positions.
"India should not worry too much about the Brexit referendum," said Mumbai-based celebrity Astro-Numerologist Sanjay B Jumaani. "We are in our 69th (6, Venus) year, which can be a landmark year for the market, especially when it coincides with 2016 (9, Mars)," he said.
History speaks for itself. Picture this, the influence of 3,6,9 (that's a family) on India goes back to the year 1947. India is in a strong year, which would prove good for the market.
"Sample this: the year we got Independence, 1947=3; the date 15th Aug (15=6). We won the elusive cricket World Cup in 1983 (1983=3) with number 6 captain Kapil Dev (06/01) whose name adds up to 3," Jumaani said.
"In 2010 (3) in our 63rd (9) year when the whole world was reeling under recession, India was least affected. We were doing so well that we had for the first time powerful visitors like Obama and Sarkozy being lured by our growing economy for trade talks," Jumaani said.
Analysts across the world are puzzled about the exact impact on various asset classes. Even the world's most famous currency speculator came out and said a Brexit vote could result in a black Friday for the UK.
Some astrologers said even this week's planetary positions favour the market. Moon is transiting Sagittarius and Capricorn, while Pluto is in Sagittarius, Mars is in Libra and Jupiter and Rahu are in Leo.
Lord Ketu and Neptune are transiting Aquarius, Sun and Venus are in Gemini, Saturn is in Scorpio, Mercury is in Taurus and Uranus is in Pisces.
Stars and planetary positions have more information on the possible movement of the stock market. The predictions are more relevant for long-term investors
"Astrologically, the trend is supportive for the market with food processing and housing-related stocks gaining momentum," he said.
